Kim Finnestead
Sales Representative

Kim FinnesteadKim Finnestead joined JFS at Home as sales representative in September 2008. In this part-time position, she is responsible for marketing JFS at Home’s services, disseminating information to key contacts for referrals, and educating the public about JFS at Home. She spends much of her time out of the office visiting hospital discharge planners, physicians, assisted living facilities, families, and local organizations who can provide referrals. Kim also represents JFS at Home at various health fairs and community expos. Kim co-facilitates workshops around town on subjects including wellness, aging in place, and safety.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Kim received a bachelor’s of science in marketing and biological sciences from Southeast Missouri State University. “I created my own degree program in interdisciplinary studies to combine marketing and biological sciences so that I could work in the medical sales field,” says Kim. The degree has served her well as she has more than 10 years of sales experience in the medical and wellness industries. “I truly want to help other people and make a difference in their lives,” she says.

Kim and her husband, Erick, a school principal, moved to Colorado 10 years ago due to job transfers. She worked in Ft. Collins for two years as a territory manager for Aveda and then spent seven years in Breckenridge. Most recently, she served as the director of marketing and operations for a wellness clinic. Kim and her family moved to the Denver-area in the summer of 2008 because of career and climate changes. “We wanted to enjoy the beautiful four seasons and the weather,” explains Kim. “We are still adjusting to life in the big city, but are able to enjoy many more activities with our two daughters, Tessa and Tatum.”

Kim is also enjoying educating people about what JFS at Home does and the important service it provides to the community. “I went on some new client assessments and witnessed first-hand how we help people, whether it be for a short time to help them recover from surgery or for a longer period of time for older adults who need continuous care,” says Kim.

When not working, Kim loves being outdoors walking, hiking, being in the sun, and having fun with her family.
